Tarantulas!

Have you ever wondered what a tarantula looks like on the inside? Have you ever wondered if a tarantula has a heart or lungs or a stomach like humans do? We are going to visit National Geographic's Internet site and discover what a tarantula looks like on the inside! At this site you will find out about the anatomy of the tarantula; fill in the Tarantula Diagram; and then click on "life cycle" and "species" to find out other information about tarantulas.

Your Job
  1. Collect all materials: pencil, diagram, crayons
  2. Watch the tarantula come out of his burrow and get his prey. Then click on the burrow to enter the tarantula site
  3. Click on the picture of the tarantula and observe the diagram. Fill in your personal Tarantula Diagram
  4. Read about the life cycle by clicking on the tab at the bottom of the screen
  5. Look at the different species of tarantulas

  6. Now You Are Ready to Begin. Just click on Tarantula Anatomy and get to work!

    When you have finished at this site, go to GO located on the menu bar and move down to Tarantula Student Guide Activity One. This will bring you back to this page. Are you ready for Activity 2?
