    Program Mission: We will design and program electronic devices using a variety of mediums and components.

    Students Will Experience:

    • Create electronic devices using Arduino microcontrollers and basic circuitry on a prototyping breadboard
    • Create electrical circuits using LEDs, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and assorted sensors and basic electrical components
    • Learn the basics of soldering and electrical safety to construct physical electronic devices. This includes creating 3D printed designs that are embedded in the electronic device
    • Learn the basics of electricity necessary to be successful in an electrical engineering field


    Career Focus:

    Students will be prepared for immediate employment in entry-level jobs and to continue to study electronics technologies at a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Students may have an opportunity to earn industry certifications during the program. Career examples include Electronics Engineering Technologists, Electronics Engineers, Electronic Drafters, IT Technician, Computer Repair Technician, Help Desk, Network Technician
