         Here we are in April!  I miss all of you!  I had plans in P.E. for April to do some fun nutrition activities.   Stay tuned, I will have some of those for you to do at home. 

    In the meantime, here is a great video about Go, Slow, and Whoa foods.   I like using this model to place foods into categories.   It is really simple, because there are only three categories- Go, Slow, and Whoa.   

    We all know the reason we eat food which is to supply energy to our bodies.  Giving our bodies healthy foods makes our bodies healthy and ready to go!  Ready to go learn and ready to go do physical acitivity.  Slow foods are foods that we should just eat some of the time and whoa foods, I think of them as foods we eat to celebrate something.   For example, birthday cake to celebrate a birthday.   What other types of foods do you eat when celebrating a holiday or a special occassion?
