Mrs. Terri Pastor
Welcome: I am excited to have the opportunity to teach your child. This will be a great year as we grow and change together. I am married with two children. My daughter is 23 years old and my son is 21 years old. I enjoy going to movies, taking walks, hanging out with my family, and going to plays.
Defining Moment in Education: My mother was a great role model to me growing up. She was a teachers-aide in the Tucson Unified School District. Her love of being in the classroom, working with students and all of the creative aspects involved really was an amazing example to me. She influenced my decision to purse my degree in education.
Core Education Belief: I believe that all young people can learn. My job, as a teacher, is to motivate students to learn and provide realistic, real work application to what I teach. I want my students to realize that learning takes hard work and is a life-long process. I challenge my students through goal-setting. As a result, I strive to set high expectations for student performance.
Prior Experience: I taught 3rd grade for ten years in the Cartwright School District in Phoenix, Arizona. My 21 years at Wilson have consisted of teaching both 4th and 3rd grade. I taught 4th grade for ten years. I am beginning my eleventh year in 3rd grade.
Professional Accomplishments: Highly qualified teacher in Elementary Education
