• General Music

All students at Keeling have general music every week for 50 minutes.  Children sing, move, and play instruments.  We learn about composers and music history.  Third graders learn how to play the recorder and older students play the guitar and piano.  Most classes perform in a yearly musical fine arts night.

    Classroom Rules:

    M- Make good choices

    U- Use instruments correctly

    S- Speak appropriately

I- Involve yourself in our classroom activities

    C- Cooperate with others

Orchestra is an optional musical group for primarily 4th and 5th graders.  Instruments, violin, viola, and cello are taught and many Keeling instruments are available for use by our students.  Some students rent or buy their own instruments.  We give  concerts in December and  May, and participate in Amphi Orchestra Festival as well as assemblies for the school.  Orchestra rehearsals take place during lunch recess and after school.  Children are not pulled out of class for lessons.

Keeling Choir meets on Fridays during lunch recess.  Choir sings for concerts and Amphi Choir Festival.
