Hi there! My name is Mrs. Knight and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher! This year is going to be filled with new learning, growth, cooperation, independence, exploration, fun, and creativity!
Let's get to the basics... I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2007, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies and Human Development and I spent many years focused on helping families through the social services. I jumped head first into this path working with survivors of domestic violence.I was blessed to encourage and support women and children in crisis by getting them into safe living conditions. I also took time in my public service career to license families in order to aid in the placement of foster children and vulnerable adults. I always valued and enjoyed my work, but the classroom called to me. I had spent much of my undergradute life working in early education...and loved educating little ones.In 2012, I graduated with my Master’s in Education and have been teaching at Holaway ever since!
I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of education, and I value the importance of my career. I am proud to be working at Holaway, as it holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, my best friends were my teachers, and they took me under their wing during difficult times. They showed me kindness, love, and pushed me to achieve. I want to provide that type of guidance to my own second graders. I promise to provide them with love and support. I will always be in their corner, and fight for their education. I am here to support you in any way possible, so give me a call, shoot me a text, and send an email. I look forward to working with you!
