Welcome to my website.  I am Shelley Quevedo and this is my eighteenth year teaching at Coronado K-8.  I have taught Course 1, Course 2 and Course 3.  I know we will have a great year learning the content standards and learning to appreciate math.   

Core Educational Belief

I believe all people can learn.  My job, as a teacher, is to motivate students to learn and provide students with real world applications to what I teach.  I believe that meaningful learning occurs when students are allowed to confront real problems, make choices and find solutions.  The main purpose of education is to develop students' ability to think critically and integrate ideas rather than accumulate facts.  I want my students to realize that learning takes hard work and is a life-long process.  I challenge my students in everything we do in and out of class.  As a result, I set high expectations for student performance because I know all students can be successful.
