Dr. Laura Esquibel
I am very proud to be the Principal at Nash Elementary school. It is a privilege to serve as your principal. I am fortunate to be a part of a very caring, collaborative and dedicative community that support each other to ensure success for our No Excuses University mission of being “College Bound”! As your new principal, I am committed to partnering with you in the education of your child.
Defining Moment in My Education
My father passed away when I was in fifth grade. My mom was left alone to raise three kids on her own with a limited English foundation. I remember how the school community came together to support my family and how my current teacher ensured that my emotional needs were being supported. At this point, I knew that in the future I would be part of a school community. I knew I had to pay it forward.
Core Educational Beliefs
I believe we all learn from our mistakes. We need to know it is ok to make mistakes in order to grow and take risk. I believe that every child is unique and has the capability of being successful by creating a risk-free, caring environment and supporting their diverse needs. Our students are our future and we need to provide them with the skills to help them grow as kind, driven and intelligent individuals. Everyone deserves a chance to be successful.
Why I am committed to Nash
I want to ensure that everyone can be successful and I want to be part of their road to success. We have a committed, caring staff that also wants to ensure academic and social-emotional success for all of our students.
