Mr. George Goodridge, ATC/L came to IRHS as the Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2009. He brings with him many years of Athletic Training experience, all at the collegiate level prior to joining the Nighthawks. He received his undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University with a major in Health Education and a minor in Athletic Training. He moved out west from Ohio to get his Masters degree at Northern Arizona University in Physical Education. His professional career includes Athletic Training at NAU, Montana State University, Weber State University, Adams State University and Boise State University. George is quoted as saying, "Coming to IRHS is the best career decision I have made. All the people I deal with are outstanding from the student athletes, to the parents to all of the staff members. Ironwood Ridge is the place to be."

Mr. Goodridge is not only one of the Athletic Trainers for all of the Nighthawk athletic teams, but also teaches a Sports Medicine class in the CTE/JTED programs. Our Sports Medicine classes have grown over the years from one Sports Medicine I class to three sections of Sports Medicine I class and 1 section of Sports Medicine II. Due to the interest of our students we have been able to add sections and staff which not only provides academic opportunities for the students, but also provides another staff Athletic Trainer for our student athletes.

The success of the Sports Medicine program along with the success of the athletic teams is a prime example of how proactive and engaged the Ironwood Ridge High School's administrative staff really is.

    Go Nighthawks!
