Officer Wendy Davis is Painted Sky’s School Resource Officer. Officer Davis has been a police officer for over twenty three years. She served as a K-9 police officer in the United States Air Force (1993-1998). She then joined the Oro Valley Police Department and transferred into the Active Reserves. Officer Davis was recalled to active military duty after 9/11 and served another year and a half on active duty in the US Air Force. Shortly after returning to the Oro Valley Police Department Officer Davis became the Bailiff for the Oro Valley Magistrate Court. She joined the SRO Unit in 2007. Officer Davis also serves as an advisor to the Oro Valley Police Departments Explorer Program, is the Vice President of the Arizona School Resource Officers Association and the Secretary of the Oro Valley Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #53. Officer Davis is also responsible for creating the annual Oro Valley Drug Awareness Day. She grew up in the White Mountains of Arizona. The Air Force brought her to the Tucson area in 1997 and she has been here ever since. Officer Davis is the proud parent of three wonderful children.
