In college I was a research assistant at University of Nebraska - Lincoln Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. There I worked with kids age 3 to 10 as well as families of various backgrounds. When I moved to Arizona, I began working at a treatment center for adolescent girls who came from all over the United States. I was at Cottonwood for 3 years while I began my graduate school at the University of Arizona. I attended the College of Education, but also served as a Teaching Assistant for a Cognitive Development course for undergraduate students. After my coursework was completed, I spent a year-long internship in Humboldt Unified School District and got experience working with students Prekinder to High School. I am currently the School Psychologist at Prince Elementary and La Cima Middle School.
Why I am committed to Prince
Prince believes in its student's abilities to succeed and so do I. We are all committed to meeting the needs of students and doing the best for kids!
Defining Moment in my Education
I have had several positive educational experiences throughout my educational career. The teacher which made the most impact on me was Mrs. Oman, my 4th grade teacher, who made me feel special and supported everyday.
Core Educational Beliefs
I believe that each student comes to school with a variety of strengths and needs. Regardless of this, every student deserves the opportunity to learn.
