DEFINING MOMENT IN MY EDUCATION
I knew early on that I wanted to impact people's lives in some way. Coming from a family of teachers it was a natural transition to become an educator. It was my third grade teacher who lit my fuse. She read JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH by Roald Dahl. I was hooked and became a fixture in my school library. That is when I realized that being a school librarian was what I wanted to be and do.
It takes a village to raise a child. They are our future. Being able to share, teach, guide and provide a love of books, technology and literacy is paramount in providing a strong foundation for life long learning. It also gives foundation for being a productive, strong decision making individual in our global society.
I am a product of the Amphitheater School District. I believe that the quality of educational opportunities that were provided me has made me into the person that I am today.
My mission as the Librarian here at the MacBeth Coronado K-8 Library is to support the curriclum and educational programs of our school.
Foster a love of reading.
Be a resource for staff, students, parents and community.
