This is a traditional course in Euclidean and Transformational Geometry.
Topics Covered: Foundations, Reasoning and Proof, Parallels and Perpendiculars, Congruence, Properties of Polygons (primarily triangles and quadrilaterals), Transformations, Similarity, Right Triangles, Trigonometry, Circles, Surface Area and Volume.
Geometry is normally a sophomore course, with students having successfully completed Algebra I.
It is also the mathematics behind architecture, engineering, construction, navigation, and many other professions.
