Hello! I am excited for my new adventure this 2022-23 school year here at CDO as the Special Education Facilitator!

Defining Moment in Education

My parents are both professors at the University of Arizona and have always stressed the necessity of a good education. From a young age, I was surrounded by books, science, and educational play. Before I started elementary school, my sister, currently a teacher in Boston Public Schools, and I would play “school.” She is two years older and would always be the teacher. She taught me lots of math, made me read a ton of books, give oral book reports, and practice basketball for PE. My parents and my sister were my first teachers. The most important thing my family taught me was that learning should feel more like playing and should take place in a safe and loving environment. My family continues to inspire me to build relationships with students in order to best serve them.

I believe that every student has the right and ability to learn in a caring and safe environment.

"Why I choose CDO"

Through my previous jobs within Amphitheater School District, I have met many students and families who have gone to or who currently go to CDO. All these families had nothing but wonderful things to say about the CDO staff, students, and community. I love how small and close knit the staff and students seem even on a campus this size.
