Welcome to our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade class! I am so excited to be working with such a great group again this year! It's going to be a fantastic year with much new learning happening everyday!

A Little About Me:

I was born and raised in Tucson and am a “product” of the Amphitheater School District. I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in the third grade. This is when my grandparents introduced me to working with students with special needs in a classroom. It was such a great experience! After completing my B.S in CC Special Education and Elementary Education at NAU in 1999, I came to Mesa Verde to teach. I love it so much, I have spent my entire teaching career, seventeen years, here in the same class! Mesa Verde is such a warm, welcoming school, with such supportive parents, staff, and students that I have found it impossible to find a better fit. Even when I decided to go back to school for my M.A. in CC Special Education, I didn't leave! I spent two years teaching during the days and learning at night and on weekends. It was worth it!  I hope to be here for many more years! 

As someone who works with our future generation everyday; I strongly believe in the following quote by Steven Conn
