Mrs. Linda Ksiazek

My favorite quote is:  "Physical Fitness is the basis for all other forms of excellence". (John F. Kennedy).  I believe that we, as a society have done a fantastic job of engineering movement OUT of our lives.  We have garage door openers, dish washers, remote controls for everything.  It is my mission to put movement back into all of the lives that I touch.

I am a mother of 4.  My oldest son graduated from the United States Naval Academy and is now a major in the U.S. Marine Corps.  My oldest daughter went to the George Washington University and is a  news producer for CNBC.  My other daughter recently graduated from Aveda Cosmotology School and my youngest son is just graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and is now a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force beginning Pilot Training.

My husband and I worked for many years for an oil company in the Middle East.  I worked as a Recreation Advisor training fitness staff, lifeguards, and advising many groups such as the Youth Swim League, Girl Scouts, Theater Groups, etc.  I have taught fitness and exercise classes since I graduated from the University of Kansas, ranging from step aerobics, to water aerobics and everything in between.   Currently, I teach Spin classes, TRX, Pop Pilates and other fitness classes at La Paloma Country Club in my leisure time.

I have taught Physical Education, Health, AP Psychology and Psychology at the International School in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and at the Dhahran Middle School for Saudi ARAMCO Oil Company.  I have taught educational seminars in Bangkok, Thailand, Cairo, Egypt, Athens, Greece and in Helsinki, Finland.  In the United States, I have taught Summer school Physical Education and Health for Catalina Foothills High School before coming to Ironwood Ridge where I have taught since 2015.

My passion is competitive ballroom dancing.  I spend much of my spare time in the dance studio perfecting my "Cha Cha" or International Tango or traveling to Ballroom Dance Competitions all over the country.  Our family likes to hike together, bike together, swim and travel.  We are sports crazy and are always looking for fun athletic opportunities.  Two summers ago, my husband and I walked the Camino de Santiago, a hike across Spain, completing the 500 miles in 33 days!  This summer I have taken a Tai Chi certification course as well as a 200 hour Yoga certification course to further my knowledge to bring to IRHS.
