    My Bio

    Welcome to Mrs. Rodriguez Webpage!

My name is Raquel Rodriguez, I teach Geometry and Financial Algebra, I used to teach Spanish and Geometry at Legacy Traditional School. I am from Mexico and got my USA citizenship five years ago. After finishing high school in Mexico, I graduated again as an exchange student in 1991 at Batesville High School, in Indiana. I have a bachelor’s degree in Business and Information Systems, and a master’s degree in Education at Ashford University. School is a happy place for me, it is where I can grow in knowledge, in perseverance, and in strength, I want to encourage all my students to have a positive attitude toward school by working hard, have good organization, being honest and doing the right thing always.

I always wanted to be a teacher, but I decided to go on a different career because I did not like the salary of a teacher. After I got married and my two sons were born, I remembered how much I like education, I enjoyed so much educating them, disciplining them, and teaching them everything. I volunteered to be the Sunday School Teacher, Soccer League Coach, Cub Scout Leader, and Preschool-Kindergarten Room Mom, and I ended up working as a Substitute Teacher. I decided to pursuit my career in education and got my teaching certification to teach High School Math and Spanish since 2009. My job is very rewarding, it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in so many lives.

I enjoy Jogging and hiking because it keeps me fit and healthy, helps me to clear my mind, and I can always find a place to do it when I am traveling. I have been in many wonderful trails around the United States of America, starting here in our beautiful state of Arizona. I also did many wonderful trails in other countries like Mexico, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, England, Andorra, Czech Republic, and Switzerland. I love reading historical fiction novel books, one of my favorites is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, I saw the movie, it was good, but never as good as the book.

Wishing you a great school year 2020-2021 full of rewards by working hard, perseverance, wise decisions, staying healthy and safe, full of love, light, laughter, blessings, love, and more love always,

    Mrs. Rodriguez
