Mrs. Castle
Welcome! I’m Mrs. Castle and this is my eighth year at Canyon del Oro High School.
I was born and raised in Tucson, a HUGE hockey fan, and I have five dogs and a pet pig! I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. After graduation, I attended WGU to receive my Master's degree in Science Secondary Education with a focus in Biology.

Defining Moment:
Ever since I was a little girl, I have known that I wanted to be a teacher. However, if you had asked me why back then, I would have told you that I just wanted to have a classroom that I could decorate and a fun whiteboard to draw on. However, my freshman Biology teacher truly sparked my love and interest in science and Biology has since been my passion. My student teaching experience really solidified my love of teaching and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to continue my dream career at CDO!
Core Educational Belief:
It is my passion in life to be a great educator and positively influence every student that walks into my classroom. Each student is an individual with different backgrounds, cultures, and academic strengths/weaknesses. Getting to know my students allows me to build a rapport with them, build a sense of trust, and give them a feeling of comfort in my classroom. I want my students to leave my classroom with a sense of curiosity and a desire to learn more about the world around them. The goal that I have for myself as a professional educator is to learn something, from every single student, about becoming a stronger educator. I want to know that I have created a safe, proactive, and fair work environment for my students and I hope that I leave each school year confident in the fact that my students will not only exceed in their education, but in their lives too.
