Hello, my name is Mike Greenway I am currently teaching U.S. / Az. History and Economics at Ironwood Ridge High School. I was born and raised in Tucson and am a graduate of Amphitheater Schools.  I have been married for 43 years and have 2 daughters along with 2 granddaughters and one grandson.

            I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, with an extended major in History.  I started teaching High school in Ash Fork, Az. And have taught all core subjects required for graduation in Social Studies.  This is my tenth year teaching.  I am very excited to be here at IRHS.

My hobbies include traveling both here in the U.S. and abroad with my family and boating at Lake Powell.

I truly believe that every child is a gift and has something to offer.  Even though I am employed to teach, it is my students that I learn the most from.  I will promote the growth of your student’s ethical, intellectual, emotional and social development to the best of my ability. I will strive to help each student reach his or her potential through exploration and acquisition of knowledge.  

DEFINING MOMENT IN EDUCATION

The connection that I make with my students during and after graduation make me realize that this is where I need to be, that I can make a difference in their lives.
