Miss Patricia Lindberg

I have been a Rio Vista Bulldog for three years. I grew up in Tucson and in the Amphi School District. I have taught grades 1-5 over the past 16 years and look forward to this year's new adventures. I am one of eleven children. My mother was a teacher and four of us have followed in her footsteps.

Defining Moment in Education

I wasn’t always a teacher. Previously, I planned events as a Recreation Supervisor in California. Tucson has always been home to me so I moved back in 2001. I began as a substitute teacher at St. Ambrose Parochial school and found that I reveled in the “lightbulb moments” because the student and I found the right combination of strategies and they got it! I went back to school to study education and never looked back.

Core Educational Belief

Reading is everywhere so it is imperative that students are successful readers. I remember struggling to read as a child so I can empathize with children who share this experience. I also remember how I overcame this challenge. I did so with patient, clever teachers and the support of my family. Together we can!
