What can you do when your student is struggling in a class or in multiple classes? There are several ways that students can get academic assistance at Ironwood Ridge:
- Students can work directly with their teacher to get help in the class that they are struggling in, especially during our newly scheduled Advising time.
- Students and parents can contact the teacher and request a meeting to come up with a plan to help the student to be more successful.
- Students can attend Ironwood Ridge's after school Academic Assistance program. Teachers stay after school to work with students directly in a variety of subject areas. This free service is available to all students and it runs Tuesday through Thursday. Please click here for more information and to access the calendar of which teachers will be avaiable.
- National Honor Society Tutoring: Tutoring in all subject areas is available on Wednesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the school library. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get help with your classes. If students need tutoring but are not able to attend during the Wednesday NHS Tutoring, please contact Mr. Pincus at firstname.lastname@example.org or 520.407.4162. The National Honor Society looks forward to helping you!
