School Resource Officer
Hello, my name is Vivian Lopez. I have been with Oro Valley Police Department since 2005. I started my career in law enforcement as a Deputy with Pima County Sheriff's Department in 2003. I have served as Patrol Officer, in the Community Resource Unit, as a School Resource Officer at Ironwood Ridge High School, a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator, a Field Training Officer, and a Background Investigator to name a few. I am also a RAD (women’s self-defense) Instructor and a Certified Car Seat Technician.
I am married and have two beautiful daughters that are my world. I absolutely love my job and being an SRO at Innovation Academy has ignited my passion even further. I am dedicated to serve and protect your children, your families and the Innovation Academy Community. My hope is that I can make a positive impact in your child's life and that they know I am here for them.
In 2018, I started the Junior Police Officer Club, also known as JPO. The club is designed for first graders and is focused on teaching and empowering our children to protect themselves. Since we are not gathering for in person clubs at this time, I wanted to continue to offer safety based courses. Visit “From your SRO” for links to videos.
