Defining Moments in my Education

I have always loved school! However, in my second year of university, I received my first (and last) ‘F.’ I thought my life was over! I learned a lot about myself, and not to make assumptions about people based on their grades. I learned that I can’t plan everything. I also learned how to pick myself up and try again. This experience taught me that when something unexpected happens, it’s never too late to change course. Life is weird, and things often work out in weird ways! 

Core Educational Beliefs

All students can learn. Knowledge does not equal understanding. Students learn in different ways and at different rates. A growth mindset (believing in yourself and understanding that mistakes are expected and part of learning) will make school easier to handle! Attitude has a huge impact on learning. Learning is life-long.

I am proud and honored to be part of the Amphi family! The administrators and staff support me and help me improve to be the best teacher I can be. Everyone takes care of each other. I love my amazing students; they are my greatest teachers. They are constantly challenging me and inspiring me!
