Hello,

My name is Alexandria Vaughn. This is my sixth year at Cross Middle school; 15th year teaching.  My family and I recently moved from Hawaii back to the mainland; because my husband took a job at Raytheon.  I've worked all over. I started my career as an elementary school teacher. I quickly realized that I like teaching older students (they get my sarcasm and humor better.) I moved to middle school as a 6th grade math teacher. While doing this, I realized that I was sitting in a lot of IEP meetings. This prompted me to get my Mater's in Special Education to better assist my struggling students.  When I moved to Hawaii, I was hired as a science teacher, and haven't changed from that path since.  

I am so excited to be here teaching science and the STEM class.  Science has always been a passion of mine and it started for me in middle school. I want to pass that passion along to my students.  I look forward to working with you this year to help our students do great things!!
