• Welcome to Counseling at Coronado K-8 School


    Our department consists of the following people:


    Ms. Tina Testa, our school psychologist. Ms. Testa evaluates students for special services. She also works with students, families, and staff to create plans for students who need extra support.


    Ms. Ruth Galindo, our school counselor. Ms. Galindo works primarily with the middle school students with scheduling classes, working through problems, and other counseling needs.


    Ms. Connie Ammon, our school social worker. Ms. Ammon works with students K-8 in whole class, small group, and individual settings to provide support and guidance.


    Family Resources


    Coronado K-8 Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch

    Tuesdays and Thursdays during summer 10:30am-12:00pm (pick up at parent drop off in the back of the school). Free for all children under 18. 

    IMPACT of Southern Arizona

    Drive through service based on donations at the given time. Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm. Look for the signs leading you to drive around to the back of the building for pick up.

    Offering free wifi hotspots in their service area for 60 days (North of Roger Rd.). When searching for a network, the specific network will pop up. Wifi name is xfinitywifi.


    Offering one month of free inernet to eligible families ($19.99 per month after - depending on area).
