Teacher Information

The 23-24 school year will be my 7rd year teaching at AMS and 9th year overall. I spent my first 2 years teaching 8th grade at Girard Middle School in Dothan Alabama. 

Prior Experience

2 years teaching 8th grade World History at Girard Middle School in Dothan Alabama

17 years at McLins Kitchen. Server, kitchen manager, happiness provider. (1998-2015)

Boy Scout of America. Den leader, Cub Master, and assistant scout leader 2006-present. 

Defining Moment in my Education

After years of working with cub scouts with my son and coaching youth soccer with my daughter, it finally dawned on me that my future was in education. I loved doing those activities with my children and what better way to make a living to turn what you love into your job.

Why I Teach at AMS

I love the family atmosphere that exist here between the staff, the students, and their families. I feel that Amphi is dedicated to preparing our student for the future through our Portrait of a Graduate vision.

Hobbies and interest

I love outdoor activities with my family including, hiking, desert walks, bike riding, and soccer.

While I do enjoy playing sports such as soccer and baseball I'm not a huge fan of watching, i'd rather be playing.

I am also a HUGE Star Wars nerd. I have seen all the movies multiple times and have read most of the books in the SW universe.
