Ms. Charlotte Glenn

Welcome to REACH! My name is Charlotte Glenn and I am excited to be working with your student this year. I want to take this opportunity at the beginning of the year to introduce myself and share my background and beliefs about gifted education. I have a degree in Political Science from Northern Arizona University. I also have a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Gifted Endorsement for K-12.  I taught at La Cima Middle School teaching Humanities REACH for three years and I have been a REACH elementary teacher going on three years. I previously worked in K-6 at Walter Douglas Elementary teaching a literacy program through a federal grant. I have two kids of my own here in the Amphitheater family and I feel lucky to be part of such a warm and welcoming community of students, teachers, and parents. Being a born and raised Tucsonan, I love all things desert southwest and I enjoy hiking with my husband and kids on the weekends.

I believe that gifted students need a challenging education that supports their unique talents and nurtures their curiosity. Our district is committed to serving the needs of gifted students and believes strongly that they need to be given an opportunity to understand their own creative potential and social-emotional needs. They also need to be given the tools to advocate for themselves both in and out of the school environment. As their gifted teacher, my job will be to help them explore their talents, develop their passions and provide access to advanced curriculum.
