Welcome to my class page! My name is Mrs. Christine Horetski and I was born in Texas. In 1996, I moved to Tucson, Az.  Amphitheater school district is where I continued my education and graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School in 2000.  In 2007, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation- Deaf Studies with an Emphasis in Educational Interpreting.  For the past 10 years I was an educational Interpreter for the Deaf and hard of hearing students.  I have now decided to pursue my love for teaching.  I am excited to be here at Amphi! I am looking forwad to working with your children.

Associates in Liberal Arts, Pima Communtiy College 

BS in Special Education and Rehabilitation- Deaf Studies with an Emphasis in Educational Interpreting, University of Arizona

 My core educational beliefs: 

My educational belief is that education is the way of life.  You never stop learning.  You learn in school and you continue to learn when you start your career, regardless what field you go into.  Education is to life, what oxygen is to an astronaut. You can't live without it!

Defining Moment in my Education:

was when I played school. I had my own classroom and my parents bought me a chalkboard and desks.  I had my brothers come in and sit at their desk and I was their teacher. I always knew as a child teaching was my passion and one day it would be a reality.  While in college, I decided to pursue another passion of mine.  I became an Educational Interpreter.  I grew up with a deaf brother and I fell in love with ASL.  After 10 years of being an Educational Interpreter I am now turning my dream into a reality.  My passion for teaching! 

Why am I committed to Amphi

 I am committed to Amphi High School to make a difference/impact in all student's life and provide a welcoming environment as well as a pleasant atmosphere.  I am glad to be part of the Amphi Family.
