Ms. Schroeder

Greetings! My name is Kim Schroeder and I am one of the third grade teachers here at Keeling. I recently moved to Tucson this summer after living in Michigan for a while. I've attended University of Arizona, University of Michigan, and Grand Valley State University. I have been working in various schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the past several years, but I am thrilled to be here at Keeling with your students!

I come from a family of teachers so as I was growing up, I was constantly around school converstations which I found intriguing. I used to play "school" with my stuffed animal students, and from an early age I knew that I was meant to be a teacher. In my mind, education is one of the greatest professions out there and requires dedicated and caring individuals. I strive to be this way every day with your students.

Core Educational Beliefs: I believe teachers should want what is best for their students. This may come in a variety of forms, including but not limited to educational, emotional, and social. In order to do so, I must be ready to foster certain life values that students deserve to see: optimism for life, respect for others, responsibility for oneself, collaboration with peers, and courage to tackle tasks ahead of them. Every student deserves the best possible educational experience available, and by providing these supports, I am allowing students to learn to their full potential.
