Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Sequoia Rudolph
I have been in education for more than 20 years. During that time I have had the opportunity to work with students in preschool through high school and beyond. I spent many years on the island of Maui as a teacher in the public school system. I was the Special Education Facilitator for Coconino County Regional Accommodation School District in Flagstaff, Arizona. And, I taught Business English to adults in Prague, Czech Republic for a year. Back in the day, I was an eighth grade home economics teacher. Ah, but I digress.
My core belief as a teacher, traveler, and life long learner, is that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. The trick is to compensate by using all the tools in the box. I know students can learn and be successful at their level. And, the journey can be fun.
My own educational background started in the United States Navy. I used the G.I. Bill to attend college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My degree was in Broadcast Journalism and Home Economics. I attended the University of Wyoming in Library Media Management and Western Kentucky University where I finished my Masters in Education, with a certification in Learning and Behavior Disorders. I completed a certification for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
I look forward to working with the students at Wilson K-8.
