Mrs. Bennon

Hi there! My name is Stacy Bennon, and I am honored and proud to be joining the Keeling community! I am a Tucson native and a U of A alumna. I am the mother to two spirited children, and in my little free time enjoy traveling, reading, theater, watching soccer, camping, and all things outdoors!

 Defining Moment in Education:

In college I was unsure about what degree to pursue until I worked on a practicum at a local elementary school. It quickly became obvious to me that my passion is in helping students develop their social, emotional, and intellectual gifts. Nothing makes me happier than being visited by my former students and getting to see their great life milestones and accomplishments.

Core Educational Belief:

I believe deeply that children thrive with respect, love, enforced boundaries, and consistency. It is important to me to provide my students with a learning environment that is safe, rigorous, engaging, and thoughtful.

Prior Experience:

My undergrad degree is in Family Studies and Human Development, and my Master's Degree is in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for over 10 years in grades 4, 6, 7, and 8. At my previous school along with teaching full time I served as the school's Science Department Head, I lead writing professional development workshops, and worked as the school's Instructional Coach.
