Degrees and Certifications:

Stacie Devaney

Mrs. Devaney has been teaching music in public schools since 1994.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's of Music in Education, and is certified to teach K-12 music, with a choral/general emphasis.  She taught elementary general music, grades K-8 in the Chicago area before moving to Tucson in 2006.  During that time, she completed her Master's of Music in Education at Northern Illinois University, and achieved National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music.

Here in Tucson, Mrs. Devaney taught at Donaldson elementary for five years, then taught band and choir in other districts before returning to Amphi in 2018 to teach choir and drama at Wilson K-8 at the middle school.  Wilson is a wonderful school community, where students, parents, and teachers are committed to producing quality work, including musical performances.  She looks forward to developing the choir and drama programs, and continuing to work with students of varying interests and abilities to create a 'family' for the kids.

If you'd like to donate items to the choir or drama department, here is my school amazon wishlist:

We also have many opportunities to use tax credit money.  Every AZ taxpayer can contribute up to $200 to eligible programs, and get every penny of it back on their tax return!  This includes field trips, including the Disneyland Music in the Parks festival, CYT school days shows for our drama students, and other 'outside-of-school' events.  Online:, or pay in the office with an accompanying tax credit form.
