Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Kristen Moore. I will be teaching 6th grade Humanities/REACH and our new 6th grade elective, Rams 101. This is my second year in Arizona, but I have been a professional educator for 16 years. I have taught a variety of grades (Pre-K through 7th) in several states (Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia). I also mentored and taught teachers as a professional development specialist for the state of Arkansas.
Outside of school, I am a wife and a mommy. We have three kids ages 11, 7, and 4. We also have a stubborn English Bulldog named Zoe. I grew up in California and I was the first in my family to attend college (in Oklahoma on a softball scholarship). My husband is the Recruiting Coordinator at the U of A, so the Fall is busy with our Wildcats! I enjoy cooking, reading, and watching my kids participate in sports.
I am so excited to get to know each of your children. Middle school is a formative time for all teenagers, and gifted learners face unique challenges. I aim to provide each student with learning experiences that extend beyond the curriculum and can be applied in the real world!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. This year is going to pose some new obstacles, but we are all in this together. I look forward to working with you this year. Thank you for sharing your kiddo with me!
