• Welcome to the home of the Nighthawks. My name is Kristie Stevens and I am the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Ironwood Ridge High School. This is my 30th year in education. My family has been involved in High School Athletics for many years. I coached High School girls’ tennis prior to position at IRHS and my husband is a High School softball coach. Both of my children competed in High School sports and went on to be collegiate athletes. My son Patrick is a graduate of the University of Arizona and my daughter Natalie attends Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott. With these experiences, I hope to support my IRHS school community with my unique understanding of the student athlete through the eyes of the player, parent, coach, school and community.

    Core Educational Beliefs

When I reflect back on my career, I feel fortunate to have worked at the Elementary, Middle and High School levels of education. I have valued my experiences with students, parents, teachers and staff, all of which has shaped my educational philosophy and my approach to helping students. As an advocate for all students, I intend to utilize my understanding of the academic and social development throughout the K-12 continuum and the foundations for effective teaching and student focused learning.
