Mrs. Baeder

Welcome to PE!

My name is Lindsay Baeder and I will be your child's Physical Education teacher this year. I have been teaching P.E. for 10.5 years. I spent 10 years in the Marana Unified School District and this is my first “official” year in the Amphitheater School District. Teaching P.E. is the best job!

About me

Ever since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to be a mom and a teacher. I am so lucky that both of my dreams have come true. I have three children, Andrew (8), and twins Ellie (4) and Luke (4). I was born and raised in Southern California and attend school at Vanguard University of Southern California where I was on scholarship for volleyball. Growing up I played every sport imaginable, thanks to my mom who is a retired physical education teacher of 35 years. I have a passion for athletics and teaching children how to move their bodies while having fun. I am so happy to be a part of the IA Scorpion family and I look forward to having fun with your kids this year.

Prior Experience

My journey in teaching began in 2004 in Southern California. I began student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom in Irvine and completely fell in love with it. I continued to substitute teach in Southern California as I pursued my Masters in Education. In 2006 I moved to Arizona where I discovered elementary schools employed “specials” teachers. I had an emphasis in Physical Education and this led me to my first P.E. job at Estes Elementary School in Marana Unified School District. This is where I developed my passion for teaching physical education.  I taught P.E. at Estes for 10 years before taking a leave of absence when I had my twins. I was able to spend a couple years at home with my babies before returning to teaching this past January at Innovation Academy. I was so excited to be able to teach at the school I chose for my own children. It feels great to be back in the gym doing what I love and working with your children. I hope they all discover the same passion for exercise that I have and I look forward to helping foster a love for fitness.
