Mrs. Baeder

Welcome to PE!

My name is Lindsay Baeder and I will be your child's Physical Education teacher this year. I have been teaching P.E. for 13 years. I spent 10 years in the Marana Unified School District and this is my 3rd year in the Amphitheater School District. Teaching P.E. is the best job!

About me

Ever since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to be a mom and a teacher. I am so lucky that both of my dreams have come true. I have three children, Andrew (9), and twins Ellie (5) and Luke (5). I was born and raised in Southern California and attend school at Vanguard University of Southern California where I was on scholarship for volleyball. Growing up I played every sport imaginable, thanks to my mom who is a retired physical education teacher of 35 years. I have a passion for athletics and teaching children how to move their bodies while having fun. I am so happy to be a part of the IA Scorpion family and I look forward to having fun with your kids this year.

Prior Experience

My journey in teaching began in 2004 in Southern California. I began student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom in Irvine and completely fell in love with it. I continued to substitute teach in Southern California as I pursued my Masters in Education. In 2006 I moved to Arizona where I discovered elementary schools employed “specials” teachers. I had an emphasis in Physical Education and this led me to my first P.E. job at Estes Elementary School in Marana Unified School District. This is where I developed my passion for teaching physical education.  I taught P.E. at Estes for 10 years before taking a leave of absence when I had my twins. I was able to spend a couple years at home with my babies before returning to teaching at Innovation Academy. I was so excited to be able to teach at the school I chose for my own children. It feels great to be back in the gym doing what I love and working with your children. I hope they all discover the same passion for exercise that I have and I look forward to helping foster a love for fitness.
