Distance Learning

During this time of distance learning, we will be using Google Classroom to provide learning opportunities to students. Students need to login to their Google account in order to access our Google Classroom.

Our digital classroom will have assignments and projects for reading, writing, science and social studies. Assignments will be posted on Mondays. Be on the lookout for an email from your math teacher regarding math instruction.

I will be holding video conferencing hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9-11AM and 6-8PM via Zoom. During this time, I will be checking student progress on assignments and answering any questions students may have. Please check Google Classroom for the meeting invitation.

 A few key points:

Students should read the writing prompt for the week on Monday and work on it all week. Do not leave it for last.

Students can explore the points of interest materials listed in the corresponding subject areas in Google Classroom for additional enrichment opportunities.

Students will not need to create an account for Zoom. When it is time for the conference, click on the link in Google Classroom to be added to the meeting. It may ask you to download the app or add an extension to Chrome.

Many of the weekly tasks have been tied to Classcraft Quests, so be sure to log-in to Classcraft to complete the assignments and advance the story.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your flexibility, support, and understanding during this time. Stay safe.
