Why I am committed to Amphi:
I love the sense of community here! Everyone collaborates to help students both academically and to encourage them as individuals. Amphi's Portrait of a Graduate
Defining Moment in My Education:
When I was in preschool, I kept ruining an art project by pressing too hard. I was embarassed and upset, but my teacher gave me a different tool so I could do it without breaking it. I remembered how her help made me want to try again, in spite of my embarassment and frustration.
Core Educational Belief:
Be who you are. You are stronger and smarter than you think. There is always more than one way to look at a problem. Rest, don't quit. Look for your successes and let them lead you. Look at your fails and let them teach you. Connection, Curiosity, Courage, Kindness. Strength.
“Man – despite his artistic pretensions, his sophistication, and his many accomplishments – owes his existence to a six inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.” - Paul Harvey
“Play is the highest form of research.” — Albert Einstein
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. " - Eleanor Roosevelt
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” ― Desmond Tutu
