Ms. Jacqueline Bata

Hi, I am the brand new music and band teacher at Donaldson. I earned a BA Degree in Music Education K-12 and studied core elements of music under piano professor Nancy Lemons and vocal instructor Michelle Areyzaga. Recently, I have been a substitute teacher and volunteer for LAUSD and Ventura County, CA but have since relocated to AZ. Fun fact, I am originally from the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, IL, and value my mid-western roots. I am an accomplished musician and trained music educator with over 15 years of experience. I participated in several district and state-wide music competitions, consistently placing in the top three. My early exposure to music fostered a life-long passion to continue exploring the creative process. My goal is to encourage students to discover their innate creativity, as I believe everyone can awaken the artist within. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with family, crafting with my daughter, swimming and learning about photography. I am a firm believer that exploring the arts is essential to living a well-balanced life. Presently, I also teach private music lessons in piano, voice, and flute. And, I look forward to joining the welcoming Donaldson community with school spirit! Go Dolphins ♥
