Defining Moment in Education

When I came to the US many years ago, I didn’t speak English. Fortunately for me I had several highly dedicated High School teachers who inspired me and taught me the English language well. I know what is like to learn another language, so I hope to inspire others to learn Spanish.  My defining moment came when I taught Spanish for Adult Ed evening classes and the students told me that I was a great teacher and I should never stop teaching Spanish.

Core Education Belief

I believe that learning Spanish is a valuable skill to have, specially when coupled with other positive qualities.  Being able to connect with others while traveling opens up rewarding experiences. Speaking Spanish can be an asset for communicating in business in this global economy. Learning another language teaches and encourages understanding and respect for other cultures.
