Mr. Vincent Lucarini

I have a Master of Arts degree in EAL/Education & English and I'm a certified K-12 EAL teacher in the state of Arizona as well as a K-12 French Bilingual teacher. I have coordinated EAL programs at the International School of Hamburg, Germany and at the American International School of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I have taught in 7 different countries and  am currently studying for my certification in Special Education.

My defining moment in education came when I began my first teaching position in Saitama, Japan. I had never taught before and I loved it. Not only did I love teaching I loved being overseas. I decided then that education would be something I wanted to learn more about and do for years. So I returned to the US after a year of teaching in Japan and enrolled in a Master's Degree program at Temple University in Philadelphia. Since then I've taught in 6 different international schools in 6 different countries over the last 15 years.

I taught K-12 and adults in Saitama, Japan for a year. I then taught grades 2, 3 & 4 at the Anglo American School of Russia for 4 years. I then spent 4 more years teaching grades 6-12 at the American International School of Bucharest, Romania. I was then contracted for a year by the International School of Hamburg, Germany to spearhead their new EAL program. After that I was hired by the American International School of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to coordinate their K-12 EAL program. I taught privately for a year in an around Vienna, Austria where I was a trailing spouse as my wife taught at the Vienna International School. I was then hired by the University of Arizona's Center for English as a Second Language back in Tucson. I worked there for a year and a half before I moved to Luxembourg where I taught privately for 3 more years before returning to Tucson once again.

I believe education and school should be fun. I try every day to make it so!
