Welcome!  I have been teaching for 18 years and teach a variety of subjects each year.  I love variety and the challenge of change each year.   I teach science, social studies, language arts and sometimes the Odyssey of the Mind elective.  I currently teach Humanities and provide REACH Gifted Services as well as one section of 7th Grade Science.  I am a Tucson native that went through the Amphi district and graduated from CDO.  I taught 8 years in Florida prior to moving back home to Tucson several years ago.  I'm thrilled to be back in Tucson and teaching in my home district.

Core Educational Beliefs

About 20 years ago I changed careers and entered teaching because I kept seeing in my work with college students a pattern of underprepared students overwhelmed by the rigors of the college experience. I wanted to make a difference and switched careers.  My goal as a teacher is to see each student ready to engage the real world as an educated and informed citizen.
