When a Special Education Student turns 16 they have to have a Transition Plan in place. This Transition Plan describes how that student is going to transition from high school to life after, be it college, trade school, work or something else. In my job, I met with the student and then wrote the transition plan. In addition I helped the student carry out the plan and worked with them to get ready for life after high school. I also worked closely with the student's guidance counselor and teachers to best support the student.

• Assisted Special Education Students in mainstream classes through co teaching
• Monitored Students and Developed IEP’s
• Case Manager for 16 Special Education students
• Conference with Parents about student development and progress
• Supervised Reading Plus and Lexia reading programs

• Developed entire Social Studies Curriculum (US/AZ Government, US/AZ History and World History)
• Provided instruction grades 9-12 for all courses above as well as Current Events and Service Learning
• Completed Promethean Board training course and incorporated it’s use into all courses
• Developed and taught a Current Events elective around National and Local News
