Ms. Robin Tapia loves to teach and has been doing so for 37 years!  She retired from a neighboring school district, tried her hand at a local charter school, and now is excited to join the warm and welcoming environment of Copper Creek.

Ms. Tapia believes that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, emotionally, and socially.  It is her deepest desire to create the type of atmosphere here all students can meet their full potential. 

Ms. Tapia has a teaching degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona, and has enjoyed creatively weaving academic subjects together to create the most engaging way to share the material with her students.  She also likes to include her love of art and theater into the student’s daily routine. 

Ms. Tapia has taught both fourth and fifth grade for the majority of her teaching years, with three years at second grade sprinkled in between.  She is excited to join the 5^th grade team at Copper Creek, and for the first time in her teaching career will be at the elementary school that is considered her “neighborhood school”.

When Ms. Tapia is not teaching, she loves spending time with her family which includes her husband Clyde, two children - Logan and Spencer, her sister Donna, and brother in-law Damian. She also enjoys reading, needlework, gardening, and playing with her dogs.
