Ms. Stacia Ely

Welcome to 7th Grade Science and S.T.E.M.  This is my first year here at Wilson K-8, but I have been teaching for 24 years! I have taught at both the high school and middle school levels in science (Biology, Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, AP Biology and AP Environmental) as well as communications, leadership, computer applications, and American history. Science is a family affair, as my dad retired from both the fossil fuel power plant industry and the solar energy industry; and both of my brothers are mechanical engineers in the power industry (one in nuclear and one in fossil fuels). I grew up in 4-H and FFA showing sheep, pigs, and cattle across the country, and continued raising sheep for 27 years. You could say my love of science started in the barn! I have one daughter, who is a graduate of Ironwood Ridge, and is now a senior in Business Management at Benedictine University Mesa, where she is a member of the women's indoor volleyball team and beach volleyball team--Go Redhawks!
