Welcome to my classroom webpage!
I got hired at Prince Elementary the day before I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2012. I have LOVED working at Prince with all of the amazing students, teachers, and community members for these last 8 years! When I was first hired, I taught pre-emergent English Language Development for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I then started teaching the intermediate group. I transitioned to teaching 3rd grade in 2017 so that I could get experience in another area within elementary education. During this time, I also earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. My goal is to become a principal once my own children are in school.
Why I am committed to Prince
Prince is made up of the most dedicated teachers and the best students. I love coming to this beautiful place to help make a difference in the lives of our students. Prince does what is best for kids and I love being a part of it!
Defining Moment in my Education
When I was in fifth grade, I had a teacher who constantly went the extra mile to help me do the best I could. She cared about who I was and what was going on in my life. She helped me learn to love school and encouraged me to be the best person I could be. I hope I can do the same for my students throughout my years in the classroom.
Core Educational Beliefs
I believe everyone will learn and can challenge themselves daily. I believe in high expectations and teaching my students to persevere. I believe every student can work toward higher education opportunities.
Hobbies and Interests
I love playing sports, coaching volleyball, and spending time with my family. My son just turned one and he is a lot of fun right now, although he is getting into everything these days! We are expecting another baby in late May, also! Spending time with my family and doing projects around the house is my favorite thing to do!
