Ms. Nancy Jimmerson
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my webpage. I am originally from New Jersey. I moved to Arizona to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education. I started teaching in the Amphitheater District in August of 1981. I spent 32 years at Donaldson Elementary and one year at Harelson. I moved to Keeling last year. In my spare time I love to cook, travel, exercise, spend time outdoors, and do volunteer work. I am thrilled to be part of an amazing 1st grade team of teachers and the staff here at Keeling!
I have one daughter, Megan, who is studying Education and will soon be teaching on her own. Teaching is my passion! Watching my students grow and learn makes everyday special.
Defining Moment in my Education
From the time I was a little girl, I've wanted to be a teacher. My mother told me as a child, I played school in our basement by myself pretending to be the children as well as the teacher. I've had teachers that made impressions on me, but mainly, I love learning and knowing I can make a difference in children's lives.
Why I Teach at Keeling
There is a special atmosphere here at Keeling that you don’t find too many places. The students and families are so appreciative of everything we do for them! Our dedicated staff is passionate about making Keeling the BEST is can be! KIDS ALWAYS COME FIRST at KEELING! I love that Keeling is a part of the No Excuses University which helps build unity and the belief that everyone can succeed and go to College!
