Welcome to 4th grade!

My name is Ann Caputo and I've taught at Harelson Elementary for ten years.  I am a wife, mom of five, native Tucsonan, hiker, and avid reader. I think nine and ten year-olds are the perfect ages:  independent, curious, cooperative, and fun.  Perhaps not always, but they are usually a delight!

Defining Moment in Education:  I have always wanted to be a teacher, playing school in the garage.  I pinch myself at times that this is my career and that I have the privilege to influence so many young people.

Core Educational Belief:  I believe that all children can and want to learn.  My ultimate goal is to help every student gain new skills and knowledge in a stimulating and safe environment.

Prior Experience:  My teaching experience includes home-schooling, educating students with learning disabilities in a resource setting, and currently 4th grade classroom.
