Meet the Teacher

Welcome to my web page.  My name is Susie Herman and I am going to be your child's 6th grade teacher! This will be  my 25th year teaching at Harelson.  I love 6th grade and all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have.

I anticipate a great year filled with explorations and accomplishments, which include: Poetry Tea, Kindergarten Buddies, Medieval Banquet, San Diego Project Exploration Trip, and Sixth Grade Graduation.

I believe that every student who enters my classroom can succeed. As a teacher, it is my duty to help students reach their full potential and gain the knowledge and skills that they will require in their daily lives.I love teaching and watching children mold into readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists. My goal is to create a fun and safe learning space and get them ready for 7th grade.
