Mrs. Sarah Nystedt

Meet the Teacher

Welcome to my 5th grade web page.  My name is Sarah Nystedt and I am going to be your (or your child's) 5th grade teacher! This will be my 6th year teaching 5th grade, but my 9th year teaching at Harelson.  I love 5th grade and all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have.

I anticipate a great year filled with explorations and accomplishments which include: Triangle YMCA camp, Bobcat Town Economy, STEAM integrated units, Drug Free Awareness Day, science fair, Junior Achievement, Nature's Treasure, first grade buddies, and pen pals.

I believe that every student who enters my classroom can succeed. As a teacher, it is my duty to help students reach their full potential and gain the knowledge and skills that they will require in their daily lives. I love teaching and watching the children mold into readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists. My goal is to create a fun and safe learning space and get them ready for 5th grade.

This will be an amazing year!

 A Note to Parents

We are a team! Together we will make the best decisions for your child.  I will keep the lines of communication open with Tuesday letters and Tuesday packets.  Please don't ever hesitate to contact me for any reason.
