Ms. Elyse Greenberg

This is my sixth year teaching and my sixth year at Donaldson Elementary.  I taught first grade for four years.  This will be my second year teaching kindergarten...I am looking forward to another great year!  I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and got my undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in May 2011, with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education.  I then went on to get earn my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University in May 2014.  I also have my Early Childhood Endorsement.

Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be an elementary teacher...I can't picture myself doing anything else!  Outside of my classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to U of A basketball games, going out to eat, baking, traveling, shopping, browsing Teachers Pay Teachers and Pinterest, and doing crafty things (mostly for school).  :-)

I am constantly reflecting on my classroom, my teaching practices, and my students.  I love to learn and find and/or create new 'things' to implement in my classroom so that all of my students can learn and grow academically, emotionally, and socially.  I create a positive and fun learning environment where students truly want to learn.  I believe kindergarten is the most imperative year in elementary school because it truly sets the foundation for a child's education.  Therefore, I want to make it the best, most successful year for my kindergartners so that they want to continue to learn and grow, and be successful in their future.
