Ms. Elyse Greenberg

This is my tenth year teaching and my second year at Coronado K-8.  I taught first grade for four years and kindergarten for four years at Donaldson Elementary in the AMPHI district.  I love being a Coronado Cougar and look forward to another great year of teaching, learning, growing, and fun!  I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  I attended the University of Arizona and graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.  I then went on to earn my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University in May 2014.  I also have my Early Childhood Endorsement.

Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be an elementary teacher.  I can't picture myself doing anything else!  Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to U of A basketball games, going out to eat, baking, traveling, shopping, browsing Teachers Pay Teachers and Pinterest, and doing crafty things (mostly for school).  :-)

I am constantly reflecting on my classroom, my teaching practices, and my students.  I love to learn and find and/or create new 'things' to implement in my classroom so that all of my students can learn and grow academically, emotionally, and socially.  I create a positive and fun learning environment where students truly want to learn.  I believe kindergarten is the most imperative year in elementary school because it truly sets the foundation for a child's education.  Therefore, I want to make it the best, most successful year for my kindergarteners so that they want to continue to learn and grow, and be successful in their future.
